The Graveyard of the Atlantic Museum’s mission is to present, preserve, and protect the maritime history and culture of the North Carolina Outer Banks. Located in Hatteras, our museum is named in honor of the thousands of shipwrecks that rest in the waters off North Carolina’s coast. We are dedicated to sharing our state’s coastal and shipwreck history and we welcome visitors from around the world to learn about the Outer Banks of North Carolina and the shipwrecks that have shaped the history of this region.
New Operating Hours Begin June 1
Beginning June 1st, Graveyard of the Atlantic Museum will be open Tuesday-Saturday from 10 a.m.- 5 p.m.
