Educator Lessons

The Graveyard of the Atlantic Maritime Museum offers lessons and activities designed for public school teachers, homeschool educators, parents, and guardians. These materials introduce students to maritime history topics connected to the Outer Banks and help prepare them for a more meaningful museum experience.

Each lesson includes:

  • A grade-appropriate reading passage
  • Questions to encourage reflection and discussion
  • A related hands-on activity
  • Vocabulary connected to the historical topic

Together, these materials support both thoughtful study and active learning.
