Join Mel Poole, former National Park Superintendent, Catoctin Mountain Park and Chicamacomico Life Saving Station board member, to explore the history of the US Lifesaving Service, Keeper Little Bannister Midgett IV of Chicamacomico Life Saving Station, and the 1881 rescue of the schooner Thomas J Lancaster.
The presentation is part of the museum’s Salty Dawg Speaker Series, which features presentations on North Carolina maritime history and culture.
